Temple of the EyeSankara Nethralaya means ‘The Temple of the Eye’. Over the years, Sankara Nethralaya Ophthalmic Mission (SN OM) Trust has successfully helped raise substantial funds which have provided vision to thousands of under privileged people in India. Sankara Nethralaya is a non-profit charitable eye institution founded by the living legend, Padma Bhushan Dr. S S Badrinath in 1978. It serves 1500 outpatients per day and performs about 150 surgeries daily, almost half of them at no cost to poor patients. While providing state of the art eye care to those who can afford, thousands of indigent patients receive the same kind of care as a result of funds raised by SN OM Trust. With the help of the CONA Team, the donations raised in Atlanta, were able to provide eye care free of charge to thousands of patients since 2007.
