CONA Concludes a Successful Year 2017 Completing All Re-franchising Activities
December 4, 2017 – As the end of 2017 approaches, CONA Services LLC is reflecting on the successful year implementing CONA in all re-franchised bottler territories in addition to various legacy division go lives. At the beginning of the year 122 Bottler sites were live on the CONA Solution. This number was more than doubled by the end of October as CONA Services accelerated their solution deployments according to plan. October marked the final transitions of bottling territories and represented the largest business cutover weekend thus far. Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages (Liberty) was welcomed as a new bottler on the CONA Solution and Reyes Holding expanded its territory with Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling LLC (RCCB).
Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages (Liberty) completed its transition with the closing of the Tri-State Metro Operating Unit Territories. These territories span the states of Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey where more than 4,500 associates are employed. Coca-Cola Refreshment’s West operating unit was transitioned to Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, LLC (RCCB). This transition involved 7,500 associates. RCCB is owned by Reyes Holdings who also owns Great Lakes Coca-Cola Bottling (GLCC). At the same time Swire Coca-Cola USA (SWIRE) successfully completed their final transition with the Denver, CO Manufacturing Facility, and Coca-Cola Bottlers’ Sales and Services (CCBSS), based in Atlanta, was also brought onto the CONA solution.
This last Business Cutover weekend in 2017 was a historical moment for both CONA Services and the Coca-Cola Company as it completed the refranchising process started in 2013. “It has been an incredible journey over the past 5 years since that first planning session in Marietta in October 2012. The refranchising of the Coca-Cola North American system is an event that will redefine how our system goes to market for decades to come and the execution by the CONA team was a key foundational element to make this possible. The commitment to excellence has been remarkable.” said James E. Harris, CONA Services’ Chairman of the Board and Executive Vice President – Business Transformation of Coca-Cola Bottling Company Consolidated.
CONA Services is preparing to end this successful year with releasing R4.1, a technical release that will include system upgrades as well as functional components needed for the upcoming legacy go lives and the transition of Canada in 2018.
